Summer Stovetop Potpourri

My favorite part of Summer is that we are one season closer to Fall. Sorry, not sorry! BUT, while I was researching some new Fall stovetop scents for the upcoming season, I thought I would use some fresh ingredients that I had laying around the kitchen for a more season appropriate stovetop simmer for Summer!
I had some lemons that needed to be used and I liked the idea of a fresh and clean aroma, so I used lemons as the main ingredient for this Summer Stovetop Potpourri.

The nice thing about homemade stovetop simmers, are that you can refill the water and reuse throughout the week. I don’t typically use my scents any longer, as the ingredients start to get icky. In addition to more water to keep the simmer in use, I also add more extract to help keep the scent fresh. In this case, I began with Lavender, and halfway through the week I added Vanilla extract to change it up.

Here is the lavender extract that I like to use for Spring and Summer scents.
Also, my pink Dutch oven is sold out, but I have linked a similar one here!
So before I prematurely begin sharing all things Fall, I thought I would share this Summer Stovetop Potpourri to wrap up the season!
